So I was driving back up to the bay area from San Diego a couple weeks ago...and what was normally a 9 hour drive took TWELVE HOURS. Twelve! Three hours fighting through L.A. traffic, and then two hours dead-stopped on the Grapevine. With med-evac helicopters flying overhead, and cops & ambulances driving by on the shoulder. Good lord.
Twelve hours. I wanted to die by the end of that drive.
